Precautions when replacing rubber conveyor belt

The steps to be noticed during the replacement of rubber conveyor belt are actually very simple. Customers do not have to worry about the replacement of conveyor belt when it is damaged. Here are the following ten points for attention.
1. Turn off the power, remove the lower shield, and loosen the mounting bolts of the motor. Move the motor to make the conveyor belt loose enough to remove it without prying it off. Never pry the conveyor belt off!
2. Remove the old conveyor belt and check whether there is abnormal wear. Excessive wear may indicate problems in the design or maintenance of the transmission.
3. Select a suitable conveyor belt to replace.
4. To clean the conveyor belt, idler and pulley, wipe the rag with a little non-volatile liquid. It is not advisable to soak in detergent or use detergent to brush the conveyor belt; In order to remove oil and dirt, it is obviously not advisable to wipe with abrasive paper or scrape with sharp objects. The conveyor belt must be kept dry before installation and use.
5. Check whether the pulley is worn abnormally and whether it is linear and symmetrical. The straight-line symmetry of the belt pulley is crucial to the operation of the conveyor belt drive.
6. Check the rest of the transmission components, such as the symmetry of bearing and shaft sleeve, durability and lubrication.
7. Install a new conveyor belt on the pulley. Do not pry or use excessive force.
8. Tighten the center distance of the transmission device until the tension measuring instrument measures that the belt tension is appropriate. Turn the driving wheel several times by hand and retest the tension.
9. Tighten the mounting bolts of the motor and correct the torque. Since any change in the center distance of the rotating device during operation will lead to poor performance of the conveyor belt, it is necessary to ensure that all rotating device components are tightened.
10. Although it is no longer necessary to adjust the tension of the conveyor belt, we still recommend starting the device and observing the performance of the conveyor belt to see whether there is abnormal vibration and listen carefully for abnormal noise. It is better to turn off the machine and check the condition of bearings and motors; If it feels too hot, it may be that the conveyor belt is too tight, or the bearing is asymmetric, or the lubrication is incorrect.
